Our Staff
Thomas Phelps, M.D. graduated from the University of the South in 1974, and from Meharry Medical College in 1983. He was Board Certified in Family Medicine and Sleep Medicine. He established the first certified Sleep Medicine center in southeastern Tennessee at Harton Regional Health and served as medical director of the Lynchburg Nursing Center and the Lynchburg Clinic for 20 years.
Beth Sperry is a Women's Health NP graduate of Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions. She is the former Director of Maternal Child Health for Consolidated Tribal Health in Ukiah California and Lactation Consultant and clinician at Tapestry Health in Western Massachusetts.
Maggie Parmley graduated from the University of the South in May 2022 with a B.S. degree in Biology. She was born and raised in Tracy City, TN. She is an AmeriCorps service member who is working towards a profession in the medical sciences.
Sue Chase is the receptionist at the Tracy City Free Clinic. This is a return to the medical field after many years of other interests and occupations. Her background is in medical technology with many years spent in hospitals and private laboratories. After retiring and moving to Florida, she became a Mary Kay Consultant and a Sr. Sales Director with a national unit for 25 years. She retired when she and her husband moved to Tracy City in 2007. Her husband passed away in 2010 and this town has since become her permanent home.
